In recognizing the importance of consumer lending and in order to enhance the monitoring of such a market the Central Bank of Kuwait have introduced a number of measures to prevent consumers from becoming seriously in debt. Part of this initiative was to allow a credit bureau to be established and operated by Ci-Net in October 2002. This company use state of the art technology to provide accurate and secure information on line to the lending community in Kuwait.
