Ci-Net System & Database

The automated service provides information on line to any of the authorized Members who offer credit facilities to their customers. This information is derived from three databases:

Customers Personal Information
This provides the latest information from the Public Authority for Civil information  with the correct name and latest address of the customer, status and relevant information that can effect the credit decision.

Previous Search Information
All enquiries made during a credit application process are recorded on the System which provides a good indication of the activity of the customer. A facility to confirm that an application has been approved is available to prevent loans being granted to customers who subsequently continue to make credit applications after the lender has approved a previous application.

Loan Account and Card Information
Contains positive and negative data which enables information on all loan or credit accounts can be shared with the subscribers of Ci-Net. The information is provided by subscribers on a regular and timely basis in a single format that can understood by all subscribers during each enquiry. This also provides information on guarantors or if the account is guaranteed thus providing the full exposure of the applicant.

The information contained in these databases are consolidated using a dedicated system  during an enquiry which provide behavioral patterns of applicants which quickly emerge to provide better quality decision making.

Ci-Net Credit Bureau System.

The technical aspects of the operation ensure that consolidated data is provided as quickly as possible to the institution making the enquiry. The value of the data provided by the Public Authority for Civil Information makes Ci-Net unique in respect of  the existence of the customer. This is because every National and Non National who is resident in Kuwait must have a Civil ID and it is the Civil ID No. which provides the key search criteria. The customer therefore does not need to have a credit facility to be registered with Ci-Net. This is particularly significant in developing markets where age groups are becoming eligible for loans and possible fraud detection.
